Setting up a new laptop

Is that up to date now? I remember trying is quite some time ago when Floyd mentionedbit on the old forums but many of the installers were out of date or didnt work at all.

I reinstalled my laptop a week ago. I just downloaded all the programs I needed to my external HD and installed tjem after formatying and reinstalling windows. This worked fine but if ninite is working properly now it could still save some time and effort. I guess Im also a bit of a control freak and prefer to install everything manually. I dont remember if ninite allows you to customize your installation ans e.g. choose your destination folder.

Yeah, unfortunately I don't think it lets you do that, at least it didn't back when I last used it in July. But the installers were up-to-date as far as I could tell and it really did save a lot of time.
